HOW TO BE A LATIN LOVER

About The Production
"This is who I'm going to be," says young Maximo, looking at an ad featuring the luxurious image of a regal, older man next to a beautiful, bejeweled younger woman.

"He didn't get that rich without having a job," responds his little sister Sara.

A determined Maximo answers, "I don't want his job. I want hers."

Growing up in a loving family in Mexico, Maximo (Eugenio Derbez) was nurtured to become like any other young boy in this world, but with one, small difference. He dreamed he would never, ever have to work hard for anything in this life. And for 25 years, he succeeded, perfecting his skills of seduction and romance to secure his ultimate goal: to marry a rich, older woman, one who would pay his way to secure the finest things he felt he deserved. Yet, Maximo never banked on the day when that dream would become a nightmare. The day that his loving, rich, now much older wife would trade him for a much younger model.

Cast out on the street, Maximo loses his kept life and home and is forced to reconnect to a world of reduced circumstances, turning to his estranged younger sister Sara (Salma Hayek) and her 10- year-old son Hugo (Raphael Alejandro). When the opportunity presents itself to help his nerdy nephew gain the attention of a cute and wealthy schoolmate, Maximo schemes to unleash his skills to secure the attention of the girl's very hot, billionaire grandmother Celeste (Raquel Welch). Armed with his best Speedo and sexiest walk, Maximo sets to restore his privileged existence. However, what this incorrigible Latin lover doesn't know is that he's about to discover when it comes to family and matters of the heart, the best things in life are truly free.

The feature film directorial debut of acclaimed actor/writer Ken Marino (Burning Love, Childrens Hospital), HOW TO BE A LATIN LOVER stars comedy titan Eugenio Derbez as Maximo, who earned international acclaim as the star, writer and director of Instruction Not Included, the highest grossing Spanish film in US history. The ensemble cast also features such film and television heavyweights as Oscar nominee & Emmy winner Salma Hayek (Frida, Ugly Betty), Rob Lowe (Parks & Recreation, Behind the Candelabra), Kristen Bell (Frozen, The Good Place), the legendary Raquel Welch (Legally Blonde), Rob Corddry (Childrens Hospital, Ballers) Rob Riggle (21 Jump Street, The Daily Show) and breakout star Raphael Alejandro as Hugo (Once Upon a Time, Kindergarten Cop 2). Also featured are Renee Taylor (The Nanny), Rob Huebel (Childrens Hospital), Michaela Watkins (Casual) and TV icon, Golden Globe and Tony winner Linda Lavin (Alice, The Good Wife).
