Sally Potter's film follows a day in the life of Leo and his daughter, Molly, as he floats through alternate lives he could have lived, leading Molly to wrestle with her own path as she considers her future.
Rolling StoneFull Review Below Average Kudos to the fine Irish cinematographer Robbie Ryan (Fish Tank, Marriage Story) for building sharp contrasts between the protagonist's flamboyant past and his drab, imprisoning present. If only Potter had provided a similarly coherent narrative road map.
Slant MagazineFull Review Terrible Most painful of all, for the audience at least, is that Leo keeps having flashbacks that prove to be an unending source for the worst possible clichés and the most overdone series of graphic matches in the history of film editing.
