Unaware of the terrifying history of Heelshire Mansion, a young family moves into a guest house on the estate where their young son soon makes an unsettling new friend, an eerily life-like doll he calls Brahms.
Horror Mystery Thriller - Like the first film, this is a horror film
centered around a doll, but unlike the first,
this has more of a supernatural bent than a
psychological one. No cast members from the
first return, with Katie Holmes heading the
cast this time. While there is not an
abundance of gore, there are some disturbing
scenes of violence, language, and dark themes
that make the film not for kids.

Roger EbertFull Review Poor A movie this boring that doesn't cohere at all narratively is just dreadful. And the worst thing is that there's a point in the final act when it feels like "Brahms" could have become the crazy movie it needed to at least be memorable, but then it just fizzles to one of those annoying non-endings
The GuardianFull Review Very Poor Katie Holmes is as bored as the audience in this lazy retread of the 2016 chiller about a havoc-causing doll. ...an awkwardly titled and staggeringly incompetent sequel to a film no one remembers... How did anyone think a sequel to The Boy was a worthwhile endeavour?
