The surviving Resistance faces the First Order once more in the final chapter of the Skywalker saga.
Action Adventure Fantasy - As with the previous installments of the long-running series, this is a science fiction action adventure, the finale to the series' core nine films. Fans of this trilogy's leads, Daisy Ridley and Adam Driver, will have plenty to enjoy here though other cast members both newer (John Boyega, Oscar Isaac) and older (Mark Hamill, Billy Dee Williams, Ian McDiarmid) have much smaller roles. While there is a bit of science fiction fantasy violence, most parents will find this safe for pre-teens and up.

USA TodayFull Review Above Average It's impressively ambitious, though great new personalities and fresh storytelling suffer for the sake of fan service. The result is an uneven third trilogy that feels like they've been flying by the seat of their pants in an X-wing.
NY PostFull Review Good ...doesn't feel like the last chapter of the biggest American movie franchise. It's just another well-made "Star Wars" flick. And, frankly, that'll be enough for most people. "Episode IX" is a perfectly enjoyable action film, with thankfully more self-respect than the previous two Rey entries...
