Kate harumphs around London, a bundle of bad decisions accompanied by the jangle of bells on her shoes, another irritating consequence from her job as an elf in a year-round Christmas shop. Tom seems too good to be true when he walks into her life and starts to see through so many of Kate's barriers. As London transforms into the most wonderful time of the year, nothing should work for these two. But sometimes, you gotta let the snow fall where it may, you gotta listen to your heart ...and you gotta have faith.
Comedy Romantic - This is a light, holiday themed romantic
comedy. Fans of leads Emilia Clarke and Henry
Golding should enjoy, as well as those of
Michelle Yeoh, who has a change of pace
comedic role here. Emma Thompson is only on
screen briefly. Some language, alcohol, and
adult subject matter make the film not for
younger kids, but most parents will find this
fine for pre-teens.

Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Good ...this unapologetically sentimental film provides viewers with opportunities to laugh and cry while morphing into something a little different than what the trailers and marketing material suggest. this is one of the most enjoyable non-prestige offerings out there...
Roger EbertFull Review Below Average ...feels curiously joyless for what looks to be a foolproof recipe on paper... ...it forgets to build chemistry between its seeming lovebirds... There will be fans of this intensely rich Christmas pudding...but you might find you've had more than enough after only a couple of bites.
NY PostFull Review Poor ...it amounts to nothing more than a careless whisper. "Last Christmas" isn't particularly funny, or romantic. And the film's twist ending, which many viewers accurately guessed after watching the trailer, is idiotic and poorly explained.
Rex ReedFull Review Average The depth of talent behind the screen and the appeal and attractiveness of the two stars should have resulted in something with slightly more than what we get here, which is essentially a Hallmark Christmas movie that has been gifted an outsized budget for music licensing.
