Sarah Connor has returned from far away, and she's gearing up with a team of agents who will fight against T-1000.
Action Adventure Sci-Fi - This installment of the long-running science fiction action series ignores the three most recent films and takes place directly after the second film, 1991's Terminator 2: Judgment Day. This is also the first installment since that film to feature original star Linda Hamilton. Arnold Schwarzenegger is also back but in a less prominent capacity than in previous films; Natalia Reyes, Mackenzie Davis, and Gabriel Luna are new lead players. With the return to an R rating comes more brutal violence and strong language, so the film is not for kids.

Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Good ...an improvement over the other non-Cameron-directed sequels, it doesn't rise to the level of the first two entries in the series. There's really nowhere else to take the franchise, however. With this sixth installment, it's over. At one point during the proceedings, Arnold remarks that he won't be back. For the sake of the series' integrity, let's hope that's true.
Roger EbertFull Review Average The visual effects are consistently the strongest part of "Dark Fate.” But they're in the service of a blockbuster that is relentless in its one-note intensity. Miller, who achieved a far more pleasing balance of action and comedy with the first "Deadpool” movie, functions here at a single, frenetic speed for two solid hours, and it is exhausting.
USA TodayFull Review Average "Terminator: Dark Fate” is the sci-fi franchise's best film in nearly 30 years – which says more about the series' wretchedly low bar than the quality of Arnold Schwarzenegger's latest man-vs.-machine action extravaganza.
NY PostFull Review Below Average ...director Tim Miller has gone overboard with special effects here, staging an impossible fight on an airplane, which leads to a cheap-looking underwater sequence. Whenever Arnold kicks and punches, he swiftly flies through the air — less of a hulk than a prima ballerina.
