Storyline Heading
In the sleepy small town of Centerville, something is not quite right. The moon hangs large and low in the sky, the hours of daylight are becoming unpredictable, and animals are beginning to exhibit unusual behaviors. No one quite knows why. News reports are scary and scientists are concerned. But no one foresees the strangest and most dangerous repercussion that will soon start plaguing Centerville:
.
Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Comedy Fantasy Horror - This is a slow-moving zombie horror comedy with a very dry sense of humor. There is a star-heavy ensemble cast, with Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Chloe Sevigny, and Tilda Swinton having the most prominent roles; some such as Selena Gomez and RZA have much smaller parts. Language and bloody violence make the film not for kids.

Critic's Review Heading

Berardinelli, Internet Critic Full Review
Good ...although it could fairly be labeled as inconsequential, I was entertained and amused for most of the slightly-too-long 100 minutes and found the various delights (some obvious, some subtle) to be more than adequate recompense for the time I invested. The Dead Don't Die breathes a little life into a genre that has been beaten to death in recent years.

Roger Ebert Full Review
Good The premise of "The Dead Don't Die" is as basic as it gets. Watching it is, I would imagine, a bit like watching a world-class chef make a grilled cheese sandwich. There's only so much you can do with this specific dish, but it's still fun to watch a master slice the cheese and blood-red tomatoes

NY Post Full Review
Above Average It's a fair amount of fun but appears to have been made with minimal effort. For those already ensconced in the cult of Jarmusch, that'll be enough. Anyone else should probably proceed with caution. ...falls short of the killer zom-com it could have been.

Rex Reed Full Review
Terrible Avoid it at all costs if you value your sanity. ...There is no plot or comprehensive narrative screenplay... The entire movie is about nothing more than the severing of heads, which is apparently the only way you can kill a zombie forever.
