Roger EbertFull Review Good "Fast Color" tries to do a little too much, and there are maybe one too many things shoehorned in, but Hart wisely keeps the focus intimate, staying close to the characters. What interests her is Ruth, Bo, and Lila. By the end, you feel you've gotten to know these people. You care about what happens to them.
Rolling StoneFull Review Above Average ...never makes good on the explosions of action and character it promises. But its low-key, minimalist approach offers rich rewards for the patient. The film churns with issues of race, addiction and abandonment that it never fully tackles. At its best, though, Fast Color digs deep beneath the paranormal glitz on its surface...
Rex ReedFull Review Poor The title Fast Color is just as meaningless as everything else in the movie, which hobbles along stretching the parameters of female empowerment to pad out the running time but fails to hold audience attention.
