Louis Creed, his wife Rachel and their two children Gage and Ellie move to a rural home where they are welcomed and enlightened about the eerie 'Pet Sematary' located nearby. After the tragedy of their cat being killed by a truck, Louis resorts to burying it in the mysterious pet cemetery, which is definitely not as it seems, as it proves to the Creeds that sometimes, dead is better.

NY PostFull Review Above Average ...doesn't get creative enough with the haunting images that were so memorable in King's book. And when making a movie out of this story, you absolutely must get creative... Although mostly routine, "Pet Sematary” is intermittently scary.
Rolling StoneFull Review Good ...a blood-curdling chiller that adds new twists to King's novel yet stays incredibly faithful to its dark spirit. Smartphones and other products of the digital age have been added, but the plot trots along the same surface... ...while the remake has its fair share of laughs, the humor is cutting, not campy...
Slant MagazineFull Review Below Average While there are a few narrative deviations from the original story...none of them are really significant or meaningful enough to warrant much afterthought. The new ending, in particular, is a headscratcher of a twist
