The story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, her struggles for equal rights and what she had to overcome in order to become a U.S. Supreme Court Justice.
Drama - This fact-based drama centered around current Supreme Court Justice
Ruth Bader Ginsburg's early years in law is a big showcase for star
Felicity Jones. Armie Hammer fans may be disappointed by his far
less prominent supporting role. Language and adult subject matter
make the film not the best for kids, who would not be interested anyhow.

Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Good ... a perfectly adequate bio-pic focused on the early life and courtroom baptism of now-Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. ...the film has a nice rhythm once the narrative shifts to the legal maneuvering surrounding Ginsburg's groundbreaking 1972 case of Moritz v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue.
Roger EbertFull Review Very Good Ginsburg's determination never falters, but it is moving to witness her growing realization that the world is catching up to her vision, and is ready for her voice. Jones and Hammer make an appealing couple, and they get strong support from the more colorful characters...
NY PostFull Review Average The run-of-the-mill legal drama presents a fascinating moment in American history, when the young lawyer worked to dismantle laws that allowed for gender-based discrimination. But, by joining the Cult of Ruth, it doesn't make the main character into the complex, compelling person she surely is.
Rex ReedFull Review Good This movie, rather stodgily directed by Mimi Leder but nevertheless scrupulous and valid, focuses on her early years as a lawyer when she first became impassioned by the fight for gender equality. Some subjects grow weightier and more substantial with time, and this one has never been more relevant.
