The story of a young mother who loses her husband in Afghanistan and struggles to raise their young daughter in his absence.
Drama - This drama is aimed at Christian audiences,
and per the faith film norm there is no sex
nor language. However, there is one scene of
bloodless war combat that nonetheless may be
intense for the very youngest of kids. Most
families will find this safe viewing, but
despite the presence of a key child character,
most kids would find this too slow and talky.
The familiar faces in the cast such as Jordin
Sparks, Kim Delaney, and Robin Givens only
have small roles.

Washington PostFull Review Below Average ...aside from Grubbs's genuine wisdom, the characters for the most part play inspirational pawns more than three-dimensional people, their relationships held together by the most slender of threads. "God Bless the Broken Road” plants a seed of evangelical drama, but its efforts to proselytize are unlikely to bear fruit.
