Five medical students, obsessed by the mystery of what lies beyond the confines of life, embark on a daring and dangerous experiment: by stopping their hearts for short periods of time, each triggers a near-death experience - giving them a firsthand account of the afterlife. But as their experiments become increasingly dangerous, they are each haunted by the sins of their pasts, brought on by the paranormal consequences of trespassing to the other side.
Thriller - This is a part remake, part sequel of the hit 1990
thriller of the same name. Kiefer Sutherland returns
from the original film in a role that may or may not be
the same, but the real leads are Ellen Page and Diego
Luna. As with the first film, young adults are the
target. While rated PG-13, language and sexual content
as well as some violent and scary images make the film
not for kids.
PROFANITY: 1 F-word; 8 S-words; 3 GD's; a few others. SEX/NUDITY: Sex without nudity. VIOLENCE: Falls, struggles, surgery with blood. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Frequent alcohol. ACTION: A car crash. COMEDY: Some darkly comic and suggestive lines.
