Before she was Wonder Woman she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained warrior. When a pilot crashes and tells of conflict in the outside world, she leaves home to fight a war to end all wars, discovering her full powers and true destiny.
Action Adventure Sci-Fi - This mostly WWI-set action-adventure is the first solo feature film
starring the long-popular comic book superheroine. Fans of the
character and star Gal Gadot will definitely enjoy, and Chris Pine's
supporting role is also substantial. Connie Nielsen and Robin
Wright's role are quite small. Language is at a minimum, but there
is a fair amount of action violence, albeit largely without visible
bloodshed, and there are some action scenes and disturbing images
that may be too intense for the youngest of children.
PROFANITY: A few miscellaneous profanities. SEX/NUDITY: Fleeting male side nudity in a non-sexual context. VIOLENCE: Numerous fights and battles with weapons and superpowers, with minimally seen blood. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Some alcohol. ACTION: Lots of fights, battles, explosions, destruction. COMEDY: Banter and wisecracks, sometimes mildly suggestive.
Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Very Good ...the real strengths of this production are its lead actors, the period piece setting, and an unexpected emotional resonance that one doesn't expect from a popcorn movie. ... the summer of 2017 will have at least one memorable motion picture spectacle.
Roger EbertFull Review Good "Wonder Woman” isn't just a good superhero film. It is a sincerely good film in which no qualifiers are needed. It's inspiring, evocative, and, unfortunately, a bit infuriating for the chances it doesn't take.
USA TodayFull Review Very Good ...the best movie Marvel rival DC Comics has put out in its own cinematic universe, and unlike the recent parade of bleak superhero tales from both studios, it makes you feel good while you watch it. The film's action is explosive and engaging...
Rolling StoneFull Review Above Average Gal Gadot owns the role, her body-beautiful forged with feminist fire. She really is all that. The movie? It's nowhere near what it needs to be to give the actor and the character the resonant sendoff both deserve.

OPINION OVERVIEW The following is the original "What's Worth
Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 146 moviegoers:
GREAT REVIEWS! All ages, both males and females, LOVED "WONDER WOMAN." As with most movies, there were a few who felt different than the vast majority. I'm not sure what they were expecting that they didn't receive, but "Wonder Woman" is exactly what I expected. A few of the teen males only rated it "average," which is a bit low but I suspect that is due to the fact that it's not all action. It actually has a story and it takes some time to set that story up.
