February 12 is just another day in Sam's charmed life until it turns out to be her last. Stuck reliving her last day over one inexplicable week, Sam untangles the mystery around her death and discovers everything she's in danger of losing.
Drama Mystery - This is a fantasy/drama aimed at teens, especially females, and is a
starring vehicle for lead Zoey Deutch. Other familiar stars such as
Jennifer Beals have smaller supporting roles. While aimed at the
teen audience, there are scenes of sensuality and alcohol drinking,
as well as language and briefly touched-upon gay themes that parents
PROFANITY: 1 F-word; 10 S-words; 1 GD; many others. SEX/NUDITY: Brief sex between teens, without nudity. VIOLENCE: Grabs and hits by a car. DRUGS/ALCOHOL: Frequent alcohol drinking by teens. ACTION: A car wreck. COMEDY: Occasional comic lines and kid humor.
Roger EbertFull Review Good ...combines the perpetual do-over premise of "Groundhog Day” with the smug high-school alpha femmes of "Mean Girls.” Then imagine if it had about 85 percent fewer laughs than either comedy but 100 percent more scenes that will likely engage your tear ducts.

And Russo-Young embraces girl culture without condescending to it. That's enough to carry you over the sappy hurdles and lift Before I Fall above the YA herd. It's a small comfort, but we'll take it.

Watching" write-up for this movie.
Based on a theater exit polling of 13 moviegoers:
TEENS: The one males loved it. One of the two females loved it and one rated it just "average."
TWENTYSOMETHINGS: The one male wasn't impressed. He only rated it "average" (enjoyable but nothing special or memorable). One of the ladies loved it, one rated it "above average," which indicates a movie she enjoyed very much. The last one felt it was an "average" movie.
ADULTS: One male rated it "average" and one rated it "below average." Three of the four females felt it was an "average" movie with the fourth one rating it "below average."
