Retreating from life after a tragedy, a man questions the universe by writing to Love, Time and Death. Receiving unexpected answers, he begins to see how these things interlock and how even loss can reveal moments of meaning and beauty.
Drama - While Will Smith plays the focal character, this sentimental comedy-
drama is an ensemble piece with an all-star cast. Fans of all of
name stars such as Helen Mirren, Edward Norton, Kate Winslet, Keira
Knightley, Naomie Harris, and Michael Pena will have plenty to
enjoy. The film as a whole is a lot more grounded and not as
fantastical as the trailers suggest. Some language and dark adult
subject matter make the film not for young kids.

Roger EbertFull Review Below Average I don't think I've witnessed a film this year that managed to so completely and utterly collapse into crass garbage in its last few minutes while abusing what little goodwill it has. Sort of the way a shaky line of dominoes can tumble down in a flash.
USA TodayFull Review Below Average ...an unseasonably cynical assault on the holiday spirit. Even in a mostly charmless role, Smith's natural magnetism comes through... ...the film never finds a glimmer of originality. The only true surprise it has is in the finale, which manages a modicum of weepy satisfaction.
NY PostFull Review Poor The Will Smith weepie "Collateral Beauty” couldn't be more calculated and manipulative if it slapped you on the back, shoved a giant lollipop into your mouth and immediately tried to sell you a time share in Tampa.
Slant MagazineFull Review Very Poor ...Collateral Beauty doesn't genuflect before the power of miracles (as advertised). It argues that they can be manufactured by those who can fund them.
