Hank, stranded on a deserted island and about to kill himself, notices a corpse washed up on the beach. He befriends it, naming it Manny, only to discover that his new friend can talk and has a myriad of supernatural abilities...which may help him get home.
Adventure Comedy Drama - Parents of young Harry Potter fans should be warned that this
Daniel Radcliffe starrer is strictly not for kids: a frequently
crude, raunchy, sometimes vaguely homoerotic, and altogether weird
indie buddy comedy where
he plays a flatulent corpse come to life. That alone should well
speak of the film's quirky and decidedly non-mainstream appeal though
older fans of Radcliffe and co-star Paul Dano should enjoy. The only
other significant actor in the film, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, has
only a small role. The target audience is younger adults with a
taste for more oddball fare.
