Adventure Drama Western - This is an extremely brutal and bloody, as well as lengthy, survival
and revenge drama. Leonardo DiCaprio fans will savor, as well as
those of Tom Hardy, who has a substantial supporting role. Constant
language in addition to the extreme violence make the film not for kids.

Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Very Good The Revenant isn't for everyone - it asks more from its audience than the average motion picture - but for those to whom the subject matter appeals, it will be among 2015's most memorable theatrical options.
Roger EbertFull Review Very Good What's remarkable about Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu's "The Revenant” is how effectively it transports us to another time and place, while always maintaining its worth as a piece of visual art. You don't just watch "The Revenant,” you experience it.
USA TodayFull Review Very Good The Revenant is a throwback look at a wild time in American history, and the team-up of Iñárritu and DiCaprio gives this era a deserving epic.
NY PostFull Review Good A film I admired, but didn't especially like, "The Revenant” is a master class in craftsmanship... So why do I want to see "The Revenant” again? It's an experience, a moonshine blast of pure cinema, lushly designed and evocatively photographed...
