Movie Type (Genre) Heading
Drama Romantic - This drama set in the electronic dance music scene is aimed at young adults, but it is also the first Zac Efron lead film vehicle with the most mature content, featuring a lot of language, drug use, and sexual content that is reflective of the world in which it is set. As such, parents of the younger fans of the star's work in films such as the High School Musical series should very much note the R rating.

Critic's Review Heading

Berardinelli, Internet Critic Full Review
Above Average "We Are Your Friends" is a square peg in a round hole. It's a watchable distraction but there's nothing sufficiently special to warrant a trip to a theater and there's no obvious audience outside the shrinking circle of Efron's fans.

Roger Ebert Full Review
Below Average While I might actually go out and buy the soundtrack album, the last thing I'm gonna say about the movie is friends shouldn't let friends pay money to see "We Are Your Friends.”

NY Post Full Review
Good "We Are Your Friends" is a study in intoxicants: drink, drugs, youth and Emily Ratajkowski. All four are potentially dangerous, yet nearly impossible to leave alone.
