Musical - This is a musical comedy about the 1980s rock-'n-roll scene, using
many of the rock hits of the era. While the film is rated PG-13,
there is a fair bit of sexually suggestive and drug humor. The
biggest names here, such as Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand,
Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Mary J. Blige, all have supporting roles.
Raunchy gags, some gay themes, and general adult subject matter makes
this film of caution to
parents.

Berardinelli, Internet CriticFull Review Good Rock of Ages offers its share of ephemeral pleasures, especially for those who like (or at least remember) '80s music.
Roger EbertFull Review Good ...the actors are having a lot of fun, and the production values of the musical numbers are slick and high-spirited.
USA TodayFull Review Average Set on the Sunset Strip in 1987, Rock of Ages is a clunky karaoke/music video amalgamation that aims for camp, but comes off as cheesy.
