Primetime Emmy Award-nominated actor, RICHARD CABRAL
(Duncan) was nominated for his riveting portrayal of Hector Tonz in ABC's
commercially and critically-acclaimed anthology series American Crime, which was
created by Oscar-winner John Ridley. He will next be seen starring in Mayans
MC, Kurt Sutter's Sons of Anarchy spinoff for FX which will premiere late summer
2018. Cabral will play the role of a former army sharpshooter and weapons
specialist Johnny "El Coco" Cruz, a full-patch member of Mayans MC.
Cabral will also play the title character in Millennium's Khali the Killer,
which hits theaters August 18. Cabral also co-stars opposite Jennifer Garner in
STX's Peppermint which is set for release September 7.
Born into a Mexican family involved in LA Gangs since the 1970s, Cabral too
entered a lifetime of incarceration until he was 25, when he met Father Greg of
Homeboy Industries who changed his life by introducing him to art/acting. After
his first job on Southland, he went on to earn a Primetime Emmy Award-nomination
for his role as Hector Tonz in season one of Scott's American Crime. He also
starred on the second and third season of the critically acclaimed anthology
series. Also a poet and working on his one-man show, he now spends his free time
doing charity work with Homeboy and giving motivational speeches at juvenile
detention centers and high schools.
