DANIEL KALUUYA (Slim/Executive Producer) gained widespread
international recognition for his lead role as Chris Washington in Jordan
Peele's 2017 genre hit Get Out, for which he was nominated in the Best Actor
category for the Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild
Awards, British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards (BAFTAs), Gotham
Awards and the Film Independent Spirit Awards. Kaluuya took home the Best Actor
Award at the NAACP Image Awards, the Next Generation Award at the MTV Movie & TV
Awards and the EE Rising Star Award at the BAFTAs. The film follows a young
interracial couple, Chris and Rose (Allison Williams) who visit Rose's family,
uncovering a conspiracy where young Black adults are being captured. Get Out
maintains a 98% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was praised for its
"thought-provoking" commentary of race through a "horror/comedy thrill ride."
This fall, Kaluuya will begin production on the upcoming drama, Jesus Is My
Homeboy, in which he will star opposite LaKeith Stanfield. The film will follow
the life story of Black Panther Party member Fred Hampton (Kaluuya) and will be
produced by Ryan Coogler (Black Panther).
In November 2018, Kaluuya starred in Steve McQueen's Widows opposite Viola
Davis, Colin Farrell, Liam Neeson and Michelle Rodriguez. The film centers on
four women whose husbands are killed in a failed heist attempt, as they take

In February 2018, Kaluuya joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in
Coogler's critically acclaimed and Oscar-nominated Black Panther, released by
Disney. This culturally significant installment of the MCU grossed over $1.3
billion worldwide, breaking numerous box office records. Kaluuya played W'Kabi,
the leader of Wakanda's border tribe.
Kaluuya's additional film credits include Johnny English Reborn, Welcome to
the Punch, Kick-Ass 2 and Sicario opposite Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro and
Prior to his worldwide breakout on the big screen, Kaluuya was well-known for
his British television roles in Skins and Black Mirror for London's Channel 4,
BBC's dark comedy Psychoville, The Fades on BBC Three and Danny Boyle's Babylon.
Kaluuya has also received acclaim for his stage work, winning the Evening
Standard and Critics' Circle theater awards for his role in Roy Williams's
Sucker Punch at the Royal Court Theatre and a Laurence Olivier Award nomination
for Levi David Addai's Oxford Street.
