CHRISTINA HENDRICKS (Kath) is best known for her portrayal
of Joan Holloway on AMC's critically
acclaimed series "Mad Men." Hendricks' work earned the actress six Emmy Award
nominations in the category of
Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and she shared in the 2009 and
2010 Screen Actors Guild Awards
for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. She is a two-time
Critics' Choice Television Award
winner (Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series).
Hendricks can now be seen in NBC's drama "Good Girls," alongside Retta and
Mae Whitman. Created by
Jenna Bans, the series follows three suburban moms who get tired of trying to
make ends meet and decide it's time to
stick up for themselves by robbing the local supermarket at (toy) gunpoint. A
third season of "Good Girls" will soon
begin production. Hendricks also recently appeared in "The Romanoffs," an Amazon
series created, written, directed
and executive produced by nine-time Emmy winner Matthew Weiner ("Mad Men"). She
was also seen opposite Tim
Roth in the Western miniseries "Tin Star," for European pay TV operator Sky
On the big screen, Hendricks has appeared in such films as Johannes Roberts'
The Strangers: Prey at Night, with
Bailee Madison and Martin Henderson; Ben Shelton's Candy Jar, alongside Jacob
Latimore; Marianna Palka's Egg,
opposite Alysia Reiner and Anna Camp; Sally Potter's Ginger & Rosa, with Annette
Bening, Elle Fanning and
Alessandro Nivola; and Nicolas Winding Refn's Drive, also starring Ryan Gosling
and Carey Mulligan.
Hendricks' other feature credits include Crooked House, Pottersville, Fist
Fight, Bad Santa 2, The Neon Demon,
Dark Places, Lost River, God's Pocket, The Pirate Fairy, Struck by Lightning,
Detachment, I Don't Know How She Does It, Leonie,
Life As We Know It, La Cucina, South of Pico and Driving Lessons.
Hendricks' other television work includes recurring roles on "Firefly,"
"Notes From the Underbelly" and
"Life." She has made guest appearances on Sundance TV's "Hap and Leonard,"
Comedy Central's "Another Period,"
Showtime's "Beggars and Choosers," TNT's "The Big Time," NBC's "ER," ABC's "The
Court," UPN's "Kevin Hill"
and CBS' "Without a Trace" and "Cold Case."
In 2011 Hendricks earned rave reviews for her work in Stephen Sondheim's
"Company" with the New York
Philharmonic at Lincoln Center.
