In 2013 Miller was nominated for both a TV BAFTA and a Golden Globe Award for HBO's "The Girl," in which she played Alfred Hitchcock's muse Tippi Hedren.

Miller will next be seen in 21 Bridges, co-starring Chadwick Boseman and J.K. Simmons. The story follows a disgraced NYPD detective given a shot at redemption as he pursues a cop killer through the streets of New York. She will also appear in Tara Miele's drama Wander Darkly, alongside Diego Luna and Tory Kittles. Miller is currently filming "The Loudest Voice," the much-anticipated Showtime series about former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes (played by Russell Crowe). Miller plays his wife Beth.

Miller was born in New York, educated in England and studied drama at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York. Her film debut came opposite Daniel Craig in Matthew Vaughn's Layer Cake (2004). From there she excelled in movies such as Factory Girl, Casanova and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. In 2015 she co-starred in two Oscar-nominated films - Bennett Miller's Foxcatcher and Clint Eastwood's American Sniper - and also received a British Independent Film Award nomination for Ben Wheatley's High-Rise.

Miller's other film credits include Unfinished Business, with Vince Vaughn; Burnt, opposite Bradley Cooper; Live by Night, alongside Ben Affleck; and The Lost City of Z, with Charlie Hunnam.

On stage Miller has been seen in Sam Mendes' 2015 Broadway production of "Cabaret" as well as "After Miss Julie," on Broadway; "Flare Path," at London's Haymarket Theatre; "As You Like It," at the Wyndham's Theatre (West End); and, most recently, a Young Vic production of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" at the Apollo Theatre, London.
