KATHRYN NEWTON (Ivy) effortlessly shifts between comedic and dramatic roles, and her talents range from the soundstage to the golf course and beyond. This 20-year-old actress continues to ascend on the leaderboard, making Variety's 2017 "Power of Young Hollywood" list and winning two Young Artist Awards. Her recent big-screen credits include Kay Cannon's Blockers, which revolves around three parents who discover their daughters' pact to lose their virginity at the prom. The film stars Leslie Mann, Ike Barinholtz and John Cena as parents who launch a covert, one-night operation to stop the teens from sealing the deal. Newton also appeared in Lady Bird, opposite Greta Gerwig; Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, with Frances McDormand; and Paranormal Activity 4, for which she won an Young Artist Award.

Newton recently wrapped production as the female lead in Detective Pikachu, based on the titular Pokémon character. Ryan Reynolds will be the voice of the animated Pikachu and Justice Smith, star of "The Get Down," voices Tim Goodman. Newton is in production now for the Untitled Chris Keyser Netflix drama.

Previously, Newton starred in the BBC/PBS miniseries "Little Women," opposite Emily Watson and Angela Lansbury; and HBO's "Big Little Lies," with Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman and will return for "Big Little Lies" season two. Her other television credits include "Supernatural," "Mad Men," "Halt and Catch Fire" and "Gary Unmarried."

Newton was born in South Florida and began her acting career at the age of 4. An avid golfer, she was recently featured in Golf Digest, which recognized her as "The Best Golfer in Hollywood." After helping her Southern California high school golf team win three league championships, Newton hopes to launch her own tournament for which adults and child players pair to raise money to encourage more young people to get into the game. The actress lives in Los Angeles.
