BILLY MAGNUSSEN (Mason) is a promising and versatile actor who is rapidly rising
the ranks of the industry today. He has already worked with top directors such
as Steven Spielberg, Dan
Gilroy and Guy Ritchie. Currently, Magnussen is in production on the CBS All
Access series "Tell Me a
Story." Written by Kevin Williamson, the show takes the world's most beloved
fairy tales and reimagines them
as a dark and twisted psychological thriller.
Next up, Magnussen will star in Cary Fukunaga's highly anticipated Netflix
series "Maniac," opposite
Emma Stone and Jonah Hill. Upcoming films also include the live-action
adaptation of Disney's Aladdin,
directed by Guy Ritchie, and Velvet Buzzsaw, a thriller set in the art world
written and directed by Dan Gilroy.
Previously, Magnussen appeared in Game Night, with Jason Bateman and Rachel
McAdams; Matt Spicer's
Ingrid Goes West, which won the 2018 Independent Spirit Award for Best First
Feature; and George Nolfi's
martial arts drama Birth of the Dragon.
On the small screen, Magnussen appeared on Season 4 of Netflix's acclaimed
series "Black Mirror"
and was seen in Davey Holmes' EPIX series "Get Shorty," opposite Chris O'Dowd
and Ray Romano. In
2015 he played Kato Kaelin in Ryan Murphy's FX miniseries "American Crime Story:
The People vs. O.J.
Simpson" and had a role on Netflix's "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt."
Magnussen has starred in various Broadway productions. Most notably, he garnered
a Tony Award
nomination for his role as Sigourney Weaver's love interest in the Tony-winning
play "Vanya and Sonia and
Masha and Spike."
A graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts, Magnussen has been acting since
