FATHER FIGURES

LAWRENCE SHER (Director) made his directorial debut with "Father Figures." A Teaneck, New Jersey native and Wesleyan University graduate, Sher has been a top comedic director of photography for over 15 years. After learning his craft as a camera assistant in Los Angeles, Sher broke out as a cinematographer with the indie success of "Kissing Jessica Stein," and the Independent Spirit Award-winning "Garden State."

Since then, Sher has served as the cinematographer on a range of films, including "War Dogs," "Wish I Was Here," "The Dictator," and "The Big Year." He collaborated with Todd Phillips on the comedy "Due Date," as well as all three "Hangover" films. Most recently, Sher completed shooting on the upcoming "Godzilla" feature.
