STEPHEN CHBOSKY (Screenwriter/Director) wrote and directed the feature film
adaptation of his novel,
the #1 NY Times and international bestseller, The Perks of Being a Wallflower.
The film was well received
critically and won several awards (GLAAD, Independent Spirit, People's Choice).
The novel also enjoyed
the distinction of being on the ALA's Most Challenged Books list seven times and
was Number 10 on the
most banned books in America list for 2000 - 2009.
In the past year, he co-wrote the screenplay for Disney's Beauty and the Beast,

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he graduated from the University of
Filmic Writing Program. His first feature, The Four Corners of Nowhere,
premiered at the Sundance Film
Festival. He wrote the screenplay for the film adaptation of Rent and co-created
the post-apocalyptic TV
He is currently writing his second novel.
