DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: THE LONG HAUL

David Bowers (Director/Writer): David Bowers is a UK-born BAFTA and Annie Award-nominated writer and director, who has helmed the last three installments of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid franchise for Fox 2000.

Bowers got his start in film on the Disney/Amblin feature Who Framed Roger Rabbit and continued to work in London, most notably as a supervising animator at Steven Spielberg's Amblimation studio, before moving to Los Angeles at the beginning of DreamWorks Animation. At DreamWorks he was involved in movies including Chicken Run, Shark Tale, and Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit before making his directorial debut on Flushed Away for DreamWorks and Aardman, followed by Astro Boy for Summit.

In 2011 he made his live-action debut with Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules and has been a part of the Wimpy Kid family ever since. He is the director, co-writer, and an executive producer on Diary of a Wimpy: The Long Haul.
