Greta Gerwig has rapidly emerged as one of Hollywood's most sought after auteur actresses.

She was most recently seen in Todd Solondz's Wiener-Dog, starring opposite Danny DeVito, Brie Larson, Ellen Burstyn, Kieran Culkin and Zosia Mamet. The film debuted at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and was released by IFC Films and Amazon. Gerwig can also be seen in Rebecca Miller's Maggie's plan, opposite Ethan Hawke and Julianne Moore.

Additionally, Gerwig recently finished 20th Century Women, costarring Elle Fanning and Annette Benning, which will premiere at the New York Film Festival as the Centerpiece in October. Gerwig is currently making her directorial debut with Ladybird, based on her original screenplay. Saoirse Ronan is set to star, and Scott Rudin, Eli Bush and Evelyn O'Neill will produce.

Past credits include Mistress America, a comedy in which she starred and co-wrote with director Noah Baumbach. The film premiered to rave reviews at the Sundance Film Festival in 2015. Gerwig's previous collaboration with Baumbach, Frances Ha, earned her Golden Globe "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy" and Broadcast Film Critics' Association Award nominations. The film, which also earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Feature, screened at the 2012 Telluride Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival and New York Film Festival, and was released by IFC in 2013.

Gerwig received widespread acclaim for her breakout role as "Florence" opposite Ben Stiller in Greenberg, her first collaboration with writer/director Noah Baumbach. Her performance earned her several nominations, including a Gotham Award nomination for Breakthrough Performance and an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Female Lead. Gerwig went on to star alongside Russell Brand and Helen Mirren in the comedy Arthur, followed by a supporting role in the romantic comedy No Strings Attached, with Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher.

Further credits include Barry Levinson's THE HUMBLING, opposite Al Pacino and Dianne Wiest, Woody Allen's To Rome with Love, opposite Alec Baldwin, Jesse Eisenberg and Ellen Page, Whit Stillman's comedy Damsels in Distress, and the title character "Lola" in Fox Searchlight's Lola Versus.
